Experience

Before opening her own practice, Kristi was an appellate attorney for over a decade at Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. She briefed and argued cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, filed petitions and briefing in the United States Supreme Court, supervised other attorneys on their appellate work, assisted attorneys in district court with briefing, and conducted office-wide trainings.

After graduating from UC Berkeley School of Law, Kristi clerked for the Honorable D. Lowell Jensen in the Northern District of California. She was then a litigation associate for several years in the Century City office of O’Melveny and Myers, LLP, working on a wide variety of cases and issues, including intellectual property, entertainment contract disputes, federal criminal law, employment litigation, and antitrust. While at O’Melveny, she was actively involved in pro bono cases, and argued before the Ninth Circuit.
